You would have been very proud of your students. In spite of what would appear to be many unrealistic goals, we all fared rather well, and had an amazing journey. The country was beautiful, and the horses magnificent. I have attached some pictures to give you a sense of our journey. We lived as ?gouchos? indeed. Roaming the land for 5 days, ranch to ranch, rounded up cattle, dressed and ate as gauchos, really amazing. All survived, albeit one of us still recovering from a severe flu (John). Marc was pretty good in spite of many doubters.
This was a challenging experience and cantering through the wild was hard on our bodies. We would not have been able to do it without your guidance!
Thanks so much. I'll post them online shortly and send you the link.
Thank you so much Diane!!!!! What a gift you are to the horse world and anyone who is fortunate to find you. Your abilities are amazing and the fact that you can teach anyone to ride and they not only love it but they are SAFE!!!!!!!! After spending three plus years at the premier show barns and well into six figures, I was horrified to find out that not only was my child in danger but never really learned how to ride. The horse worlds dirty little secret is the better the sales person the more danger your in. People believe that if you spend a lot of money on a horse you are safe (Christopher Reeves case in point and a great loss).
My daughters dear friends parents were the same and needless to say this child was seriously injured and now is terrified to get on a horse. Which is a shame, because she loves horses. I trust that more people will find their way to you and you can change there lives the way you have for us over the past seven years.
I can say without qualms Diane is world class...trust me I can say with no doubts after being back in Europe, she can take you far if you want to go!! E ticket ride! Love you guys Miss you all!!

My Dear Diane,
Just to thank you for being not a trainer to Anais and Ariel; but a true Coach for serious athletes. You have helped them become true horsemen and help them to achieve their riding dreams. Anais, although had to decline going to the Pony Championships was so thrilled to get there, and Ariel getting into the EAP program has been an exciting experience for him that hopefully will go to the next phase. I hope other serious open minded riders will find their way to the "Little Pink Barn" aka the HB barn! It's not fancy but the instruction is elite level with love and compassion to boot and the horses are so happy. Thanks for being my friend and I plan on many more adventures together on many a continent with bands on our wrists.
Congratulations!! Anais and Harmony Shines have qualified to represent Zone 10 at the Pony Jumper Championships in Kentucky. The Championships are scheduled for August
5 - 9, 2009.
hi Diane well my mom pretty much told you all most every thing ! also i would say that it has been the most fun raiding i ever had and if you are looking to learn how to ride !! she is where you want to go. well i see you tomorrow love Ariel:D
I met Diane at "Ye Ol' Meeting Place" aka Calabasas Saddlery and I figured a woman who had enough guts to wear pink boots being 6ft tall must have enough guts and know how to be a great person and trainer. Well I was right! I had been living in Europe for 10 years and knew that Diane took a dressage approach to Jumpers and that is what I was looking for, almost non-existent here in CA. We've been now been riding with Diane now for year and a half and she has transformed my 2 kids into world class riders and my mare into a Grand Prix prospect.Ariel went from the .90m to now the 1.50m in a year's time! My daughter from x rails to 1.10 jumpers. She is a true validated horseman, breeder and a world class teacher. She has the knowledge, love and patience to teach anyone at any level and is HONEST, very unique in this industry here in So.Cal. I can not say enough about her teaching and riding talents and horse management which is almost unknown in large barns. Unfortunately she has been overlooked by so many since she is a small barn, but she works with everyone on a 1 on 1 basis and can take people and deliver to them their equine goals whatever the level. My only regret is that we are moving back to France and she will be impossible to replace. She is truly comparable to the best trainers I have worked with in France and is truly a world class top trainer. I hope that others here will find this true gem hidden in the back of Liberty Cyn. She is the real McCoy and my very dear friend to boot!
Thanks for introducing me today to your website, I enjoyed the various videos enormously. I expect to follow up on your invitation to visit you and your stables, hopefully it will be soon. Meanwhile I wish you continued success promoting the love of horses, their training and with the students you teach.
